Write Your Artist Statement, A Hands-on Workshop
Saturday, February 8, 1:30-4pm
Instructor: Beth Bacon
An artist statement is necessary to secure an exhibition or gallery show. But it is often difficult to define your vision in words. Join us in this hands-on workshop. We will start by looking at some well-crafted artist statements and discuss the elements that lead to success. Next we will work on our own statements, then review, critique, and revise them in a supportive, positive setting. If this is something you’ve been putting off, or if your artwork has changed recently, join us to complete your artist statement and kick-start your career!
Supplies needed: Writing paper or computer to write and edit your artist statement. If you already have an artist statement that you want to revise, bring that along too.
This workshop is free, but you must register through the form at the bottom of this page.
If you must cancel, please email (info@stlouisartistsguild.org) or call STLAG.
