Sarah Loving

Sarah Anne Loving is an emerging artist residing in St. Louis, Missouri. Her roots come from farther South as she grew up in Houston, Texas and received her initial Bachelor’s degree as an Educator from St. Edward’s University in Austin, 1999. Loving graduated in 2023 from the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at Webster University earning her BFA. Her degree emphasis is in Printmaking. As a visual artist her work varies from the use of multiple print processes in one dimension to small sculptures and castings to be viewed in the round. In addition to being a practicing artist and teacher, Loving is also a wife and the mother of three grown boys. Homemaking, nostalgic ephemera, and domesticity all find a way of influencing Loving’s work.

Loving currently uses her passion for teaching, combined with her Printmaking skills to teach workshops and classes. Her courses emphasize home printmaking methods alongside traditional means. It is her hope that by teaching how to bring the studio home, more students will find art within reach. Loving also finds connection with her community and a fellow printmaker by working at local fine art print retail store, Papillon Press.
