May Jernigan is a science illustrator based in St. Louis. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, followed by a graduate certificate in science illustration from California State University Monterey Bay. She specializes in watercolor and gouache painting, pen and ink, graphite, digital painting and anatomical drawing. May's favorite art projects are those involved with wildlife conservation organizations and education for the general public
