Kitchen Sink Lithography Workshop

April 12 and 19, 2025

2 weeks, Saturdays, 1-4PM

Instructor: Sarah Loving

In this two week workshop, students will learn about “Kitchen Sink Lithography”, a process that aims to make lithography more accessible for those that do not have the large limestones required for traditional stone lithography.

This process is very particular, and not for the faint of heart. Artists with experience in printmaking, who enjoy very particular processes and are detail oriented will enjoy this method! There are many variables that can make this process successful, or unsuccessful.

This workshop aims to instruct students on the process, and the variables, while attempting to get good results, but it is possible the prints don’t come out the way we want! We will spend the first session learning the process through demonstrations, and doing an initial test plate. In the second session, we will use what we learned in the first week to give it another try on a new plate.

All materials will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring a bone folder if they have one, as well as an apron or paint shirt.

Member $150 | Non-Member $175

If you must cancel, please email (info@stlouisartistsguild.org) or call STLAG. A refund will be given only if cancellation occurs seven days prior to the first day of class. No exceptions. Refunds will be processed minus a $25 withdrawal fee per course registration.
